the uw ζψ finds good use for hot wax jobs

Let it never be said that greeks are not creative philanthropists. The local chapter of Zeta Psi at the University of Washington, or The UW, in its preferred nomenclature, has put a decidedly montane twist on philanthropy. Instead of the typical car wash or habitat for humanity, they're offering hot wax jobs all quarter long for the low, low price of a $15 donation for the American Cancer Society. Not that kind of hot wax job; it's hard to imagine any woman in her right mind letting an untrained fratboy muck about her nether regions. (OK, maybe not so hard to imagine.) But we're talking here about the kind that avid skiers and snowboarders need for their gear before hitting the slopes. There being many winter sports afficionados at The UW, this is a popular service, and the fifteen-buck cost wildly undercuts the professionals. Given that many The UW Zetes are themselves accomplished shredders, they can even offer a job well done. "We have guys in the house that have been snowboarding or skiing for their whole lives and are experienced technicians in their respective sport," one member is quoted as saying. "Technicians." Impressive.
